·
Ensure tha
t your speed and driving style
are always appropriate for the current
visibility, weather and road/trac con-
ditions.
·
Poor visibility, darkness, snow, rain and
fog can cause trac signs to be not dis-
played or be incorrectly displayed by
the system.
·
If the camera’s field of view is dirty, cov-
ered or damaged, the function of Trac
Sign Recognition may be impaired.
WARNING
Driving recommendations and tra
c signs
displayed by Trac Sign Recognition may
dier from the current trac situation.
·
Not all trac signs can be recognised
by the system and displayed correctly.
·
Trac signs and trac regulations have
priority over the recommendations and
displays provided by the Trac Sign
Recognition system.

Function limitations
Trac Sign Recognition is subject to sys-
tem-related limitations. The following con-
ditions can limit the function of the Trac
Sign Recognition system, or prevent it from
working altogether:
— Poor visibility, for example when it
snows.
— When dazzled, e.g. by oncoming trac or
sunlight.
— High speeds.
— Covered or dirty camera.
— Trac signs that are located outside of
the camera’s field of view.
— Partially or fully hidden trac signs,
e.g. by trees, snow, dirt or other vehicles.
— Trac signs that do not correspond to
the standard design.
— Damaged or bent trac signs.
— Variable trac signs on gantries
(changeable trac sign display using
LEDs or other light sources).
— Out-of-date map material of the Info-
tainment system.
— Vehicles that have trac sign stickers,
e.g. speed restrictions on trucks.
