Climate control
Note: Setting the temperature to
maximum high or low will not provide the
desired temperature at a faster rate.
Note: When selecting heat, the system
will restrict airow until it has warmed to
prevent cold air from blowing out of the
vents.
To turn off the system, press the 3.
OFF switch.
Windshield defrosting and
defogging
Press the windshield defroster switch.
In this position, the fresh air position
is automatically selected, and the air
conditioner automatically turns on. The
air conditioner will directly dehumidify
the air to the front windshield and
side windows. Airow amount will be
increased.
Warm or hot air should be used to defog
the windscreen. Switching on the air
conditioning will further help defogging
as it reduces the moisture in the cabin
air. Cold air is much less efcient at
clearing the windscreen and may, under
some weather conditions, not clear the
windscreen sufciently for safe driving.
Note: If the air intake selector is pressed
after this operation, the recirculation
position is selected.
Note: Use the temperature control dial
to increase the air ow temperature and
defog the windshield more.
Sunlight/temperature sensor
The fully automatic air conditioner
function measures inside and outside
temperatures, and sunlight. It then sets
temperatures inside the passenger
compartment accordingly. Don’t
obstruct the sensors.
