Reclining the rear seats
WARNING
Rock the seatback backwards
and forwards after releasing the
strap to make sure that it is fully engaged
in its catch.
To change the rear seatback angle, lean
forward slightly while pulling the strap.
Then lean back to the desired position
and release the strap.
Folding down the rear seats
WARNINGS
It is extremely dangerous to ride
in a cargo area, inside or outside
of a vehicle. In a collision, people riding
in these areas are more likely to be
seriously injured or killed. Do not allow
people to ride in any area of your vehicle
that is not equipped with seats and
safety belts. Be sure everyone in your
vehicle is in a seat and using a safety belt
properly.
All heavy items should be securely
fastened when stowed to stop
them becoming dangerous projectiles in
the even of a sudden stop or collision.
Ensure seats are latched correctly
before carrying passengers.
Always unfasten the lap portion
of the belt before folding the left-
rear seatback. Leaving the lap portion of
the belt fastened could cause damage
to the seat belt, buckle and seatback.
Remove the head restraints 1.
Return the centre lap-sash belt to its 2.
storage position, refer to Stowing
and pulling out the centre-rear
position seat belt (page 23).
Pull the seat release control strap.3.
