Installation and Safety:
- Minimum Safety Distance: A minimum safety distance of 650 mm must be maintained between the cooker top and the extractor hood. However, some models may allow for lower installation heights; users should refer to specific paragraphs on working dimensions and installation for details.
- Power Supply: Users must ensure that the mains voltage corresponds to the rating plate located inside the hood. For Class I appliances, adequate earthing of the domestic power supply is crucial.
- Exhaust Flue Connection: If the hood is configured for external extraction, it should be connected to an exhaust flue with a minimum diameter of 120 mm. The flue route should be as short as possible to maximize efficiency.
- Prohibited Connections: The extractor hood must not be connected to exhaust ducts that carry combustion fumes from other appliances such as boilers or fireplaces.
- Aeration Requirements: When the extractor is used in conjunction with non-electrical appliances (e.g., gas-burning appliances), sufficient aeration must be guaranteed in the room to prevent the backflow of exhaust gas.
