Inserting the Battery
Insert the batteries in the camera as described
below.
Open the battery-chamber cover.
Slide the battery-cham-
ber latch in the direction
shown and open the bat-
tery-chamber cover.

Besure tile camera isoff before opening tile bat-
tery-chamber cover.
•Do not open the battery<hamber cover when
the camera is on. Failureto observe tills pre-
caution could result in damage to image files or
memory cards.
• Do not use excessiveforce when handling the
battery-chamber cover.

Insert the battery.
Insert the battery as shown in the illustration
inside the battery chamber, using the bat-
tery to keep the latch pressed to one side.

Insert the battery in the correct orientation. Do
NOTuseforce or attempt to insert the battery up-
sidedown or backwards. Tile battery will slide in
easily in tile correct orientation.
