Macro and Super Macro Modes (Close-ups)
For close-ups, press the selector left (_) to choose from the macro options shown below.

When macro mode is in effect, the camera focuses on subjects near the center of the frame. Use the
zoom ring to compose pictures. The following restrictions apply in super macro mode: the lens must
be zoomed all the way out (at other zoom positions, $ is displayed) and the flash can not be used.

• Useof a tripod is recommended to prevent blur caused by camera shake.
• Flashcompensation may be required when using the flash (_ 89).
• Using tile flash atclose range may casta lens shadow. Zoom a little or have more distance from the subject.
