Power indicator
The power indicators are on the front of the casing.

1 = Power indicator
● The LED at the ON/OFF switch glows white:
The device is switched on.
● The LED at the ON/OFF switch flashes white:
The device is switched on, the fixed disk or the optical drive is being accessed.
● The LED at the ON/OFF switch does not glow:
The device is in energy-saving mode. After being switched on with the ON/OFF switch, the
device powers up or returns to the state it was in before it entered energy-saving mode.

In energy-saving mode the device must not be switched off with the main power
switch (if present) or disconnected from the mains, as this may result in data loss.
● The LED at the ON/OFF switch does not glow:
The device is switched off (disconnected from the mains) or is ready for use. If the device is
ready it can be enabled with the ON/OFF switch.
