Settings in the BIOS Setup
In BIOS Setup you can set the system functions and the hardware configuration of the device. The
settings can only be changed via the keyboard.
When it is supplied, the device is set to factory default settings. You can change these settings in
BIOS Setup. Any changes you make take effect as soon as you save and exit the BIOS Setup.
The main options in BIOS Setup are described in brief below:
Menu Description
Main for system settings such as time and date, and for system information.
Advanced for advanced system configuration settings.
Boot for configuring the boot sequence.
Power for power management settings.
Security for BIOS and HDD password settings.
Exit to save or discard BIOS Setup changes,
for loading the BIOS Setup defaults or
for temporarily booting from a specific device.
The following function keys can also be used:
Key Description
ESC to exit the BIOS Setup. The current settings are not saved.
F7 to discard changes and load the previous BIOS Setup configuration.
F9 to Load BIOS Setup Default Configuration.
F10 to exit the BIOS Setup. The current settings are saved.
