Basic connection guidelines and parameters for a connection
between the management computer and ETERNUS DX
IP-address/Subnet mask ETERNUS MNT Port
• Default 192.168.1.1 / 255.255.255.0
Set a fixed IP address for the computer to be connected to ETERNUS
• Needs to within the same IP address subnet with the ETERNUS MNT Port
(for example 192.168.1.2)
Connect the LAN port of the computer to the ETERNUS MNT Port
• Direct connection with normal or crossed cable
Web browser
• Internet Explorer 6.0, 7.0 or 8.0
• Mozilla Firefox 3.0.x, 3.5.x and 3.6.x
Web browser settings
• Do not use a proxy server or cache (Temporary Internet Files)
• Enable Java Scripting, Style Sheets and Cookies
