*1:
• For details on the firmware versions that support the Multipath Diagnostic Program, refer to "Multi-
path Diagnostic Program User's Guide".
• An Oracle-brand Fibre Channel card driver may be used for Fujitsu Fibre Channel cards. To confirm
which driver should be used, check the "Notes" and "Fibre Channel Cards that Require an Oracle-brand
Driver" sections in "FUJITSU Storage ETERNUS DX Configuration Guide -Server Connection- (Fibre Chan-
nel) for Oracle Solaris".
*2: Use of a PowerHA/HACMP cluster configuration only affects the setting for single path configurations
with FJspio.
*3: When connecting a Windows
®
-based VMware VCB Proxy server to the ETERNUS DX, and the LUNs are
shared between the VMware VCB Proxy server and VMware ESX server, the settings detailed in the
"VMware ESX" row of Table 2.5 should be used.
2.1.3 Registering the WWNs of the Accessing Fibre Channel Cards or Converged Net-
work Adapter Cards (Setting FC Host)
Register the WWN of each Fibre Channel card or Converged Network Adapter card installed in the server that
will access the ETERNUS DX. At the same time, set the host response registered in "2.1.2 Sense Data Conver-
sion (Setting the Host Responses)" (page 9) to accept these FC hosts (WWNs).
Registering the FC host WWNs and setting up LUN mappings (Host Affinities) as described elsewhere, allows
limits to be set on which servers are allowed to access which ETERNUS DX LUNs.
When a server-side Fibre Channel card or Converged Network Adapter card is replaced, the WWN of the
replacement Fibre Channel card or Converged Network Adapter card must be re-registered to the ETERNUS
DX.
