Connecting an external monitor
You can connect an external monitor to the analog VGA monitor connection of the
notebook. Screen output is limited to a maximum of two screens at any one time (see
"
Key combinations", Page 24, sect ion "Toggle output screen").

► Turn the notebook and the e xternal monitor off.
► Connect the data cable of the external monitor to the monitor port of th e notebook.
► First turn the external monitor on and then the notebook.
You can also use a key combination to switch back and f orth between the external
monitor an d the notebook’s LCD screen, see c hapter "
Key combinations", Page 24.
You can display the same p icture on the external monitor and the
notebook LCD screen simultaneously.

The H DMI port on your notebook can be used to conne ct an external amplifier,
LCD TV or a plasma TV with an HDMI connection.
► Connect the da ta cable to the
external device.
► Connect the data cable to the HDMI
port of the notebook.
