Using ExpressCards™
Your LIFEBOOK notebook supports ExpressCards
TM
in a dedicated slot. With these cards you can
perform a variety of functions depending on which type of card you install. ExpressCards should be
installed in the slot on the right side of the system. (Figure 34)
Some available ExpressCards:
• ExpressCard Hybrid TV Tuner
• Local area network (LAN) cards (Type II)
• IDE solid-state disk cards (Type II)
• SCSI cards (Type II)
For further information, refer to the instructions supplied with your card(s).
Installing ExpressCards
There are two different width ExpressCards:
34 mm and 54 mm ("ExpressCard 34" and
"ExpressCard 54"). (Figure 33). The
connector inside the slot is located on the
left-hand side of the slot. If you insert a 34
mm card, be sure to align it with the left side
of the slot when inserting it.
