Batter charging indicator / Mains connection
The state of charge of the ba ttery is shown by the battery indicator.
• Indicator is illuminated (green): The battery is charged or no battery has been
inserted.
• The indicator lights up orange: the mains adapter is connected and the batte ry
is being charged.
• Indicator flashes orange: the mains adapter is connected but th e battery cannot
be charged as the battery is too hot or cold for ch arging. The charging process
is continued as soon as the battery reaches a permissible temperature again.
• Indicator flashes red: An error has occured.
• The indicator is not illuminated: the mains adapter is not connected.

• Indicator is illuminated (green): The battery is charged to betw een 50% and
100% of its maximum capacity.
• The indicator lights up orange: The battery is charged to between 13% and
49% of its maximum capacity.
• The indicator lights up red: The battery is charged to between 0% and 12% of
its maximum capacity.
• Indicator flashes red: An error has occured.
Energy saving functions indicator
• Indicator is illuminated: None of t
he energy saving functions have been
activated.
• Indicator is not illuminated: The energy saving functions have been deactivated.
Drive indicator

Indicator is illuminated: On e of the drives (e.g. hard disk, CD/DV D) is being
accessed.
Num Lock indicator

key has been pressed. The virtual numerical
keypad is activated. You can output the characters indicated on the upper right of
the keys.
Caps Lock indicator

you type will appe ar in uppe r c ase. In the ca se of overlay keys, the character
printed on the upper left of the key will appear when that key is pressed.
