Manual removal (emergency removal)

In the event of a pow er failure or damage to the drive, you can remove the optical disk manually.

► Switch your n otebook off.
► Push a pen or a piece of wire (such as a
paperclip) firmly into the opening (1).
The drive tray is ejected. You c an now pull
the drive tray (2) out of the dr ive.
Removing and installing the removeable dust filter
In order to ensure o
ptimum cooling of the components in your notebook, you
should periodical
ly clean the dust filter of the heatsink.
This ensures opti
mum fan performance. Yo u can a chieve the best cleaning
results with a sm
all hand-held vacuum cleaner.
If necessary, y
ou can also use a dry brush to release dust from the ventilation slots.
Do not use any cl
eaning liquids! Ensure that no liquid enters the device.

dust filter (1) and remove it from its s lot (2).
