Using the stylus pen
You can use the pen on
your notebook a s an electronic writing implement to select
items and to navigat
e through menu options and programs. Programs that support
handwriting recog
nition also allow you to write characters directly on the scree n with
the pen. You can als
o use the pen as a drawing tool.
The notebook pen i
s retained securely in the pen slot. This ensures that the pen cannot be
lost, regardless
of whether you use the notebook as a Tablet PC or as a notebook, or transport
it while travell
ing. Always replace t he p en in its slot when you are no t using it.
The no tebook is
supplied with a pen cord which yo u can attach to the eyelets
on the pen and on
the notebook.
Only use the pe
n p rovided with your notebook. D o not use substitute pen tips
that were not s
pecially designed for your notebook. Rep lace the stylus tip if it
is worn. The wa
rranty does not cover a scratched scree n .
While writin
g, you should take care n ot to scratch th e surface of the
display (e.
g. wit h a wristwatch or bracelet).
