Connecting an external monitor to the port replicator
An analog monitor is connected to the analog VGA monitor port, a digital monitor to the D isplayPort
or to the D VI -D monitor port on th e optional port replicator. Monitor output is limited to a maximum of
two monitors at any one time (see "
Key combinations", Page 44, section "Toggle output monitor").

► Switch off the notebook and the external monitor.
► Plug the data cable of th e external mon itor into the monitor port.
► First switch on the external monitor and then the notebook.
You can also switch back and forth between the external screen and the LCD
screen of the notebook, see chapter "
Key combinations", Page 44.
You can display the same p icture on the external monitor and the
notebook LCD screen simultaneously.
