Status indicators Description
Battery charging indicator/po
wer connector
The charging state of the batter
y is shown by the rechargeable batt ery
indicator.
With mains adapter connected:
• The indicator lights up blue:
The battery is fully charged.
• The indicator lights up orange: The battery is charging.
• The indicator flashes oran
ge: The mains adapter is con nected but the
battery cannot be charged
as the battery is too hot or too cold for
charging. The charging p
rocess is continued as soon as the b attery
has reached a p ermissibl
e temperature again.
• The indicator is off: The system is in battery operation and the mains
adapter is not connected.

Drive indicat or

The indicator is lit:
One of the drives (e.g. hard disk, CD/DVD) is being
accessed.

d. Yo u can output the characters indicated on the upper
right of the keys.
Caps Loc k indicator

The indicator is lit: The Caps Lock key has been pressed. All the characters
you type will appear in upper case. In the case of overlay keys, the
character printed on the upp er left of the key will appear when that key
is pressed.
Wireless components indicator
• The indicator is lit: The wire less components are switched on.
• The indicator is not lit: T h e wireless c omponents are switched off.
•Theindicatorisflashing: vPro is activated. The radio components are
enabled when the notebook is in standby mode, hibernate mode or
is switched off.
