Recommended Action The unit is attached to the stack system and it is ready for
operation.
Severity Level 6
Error Message EDB Callback: Unit Join: <unit-id>
Explanation The unit is detected by the switch and updated to its database.
Recommended Action A notification message for the new detected unit.
Severity Level 6
Error Message EDB Callback: Unit Leave: <unit-id>
Explanation The unit is removed from the stack due to the hardware is
removed or the stacking cable is removed.
Recommended Action A notification message for user that a unit is removed.
Severity Level 1
Error Message Standby taking over as Manager of the Stack, reason: <reason>
Explanation The standby unit has been taken over the master role due to the
reason.
Recommended Action A notification message for user that a master is lost and standby
unit take over as Manager of the stack.
Severity Level 4
Error Message Unit <unit-id> active image version does not match with
Manager. Ports on this unit will not be operational.
Explanation A new unit can’t be joined the stack due to the code version
mismatched.
Recommended Action Image upgrade operation is recommended for the new unit.
Severity Level 5
Error Message Management unit conflict was detected and this unit has won the
manager election. All the units attached to losing Stack Manager
%x:%x:%x:%x:%x:%x will reset and join this Manager.
Explanation Two stack masters in a stack, the current stack master won the
master role and will still be the manager of this stack. All the
units of the losing stack master will be reset and join back the
stack later.
Recommended Action Please refer to the power consideration sequences of a stack to
prevent two stack masters in the same stack at the same time.
