Explanation User input an invalid or reserved IP address.
Recommended Action Use the valid IP address for this function. IP address should be
in a.b.c.d format where range for a, b, c, and d is 1 - 255.
Error Message Warning: Changing protocol mode will reset IP configuration.
Explanation User try to change the interface protocol mode, system will
pop-up a message to remind the current IP address will be
cleared.
Recommended Action No recommended action, it just a warning message.
Error Message Error: IP Address requires an IP address in x.x.x.x form with
each octet(x) in the range 0-255.
Explanation User input an invalid format IP address.
Recommended Action Use the valid IP address for this function. IP address should be
in a.b.c.d format where range for a, b, c, and d is 1 - 255.
Error Message Error: Subnet mask must have contiguous ones.
Explanation User input an IP subnet mask that does not have contiguous
ones in binary. For example, 255.255.255.129, the decimal 129
is 10000001 in binary, it’s not a contiguous ones number.
Recommended Action Use the correct IP subnet mask format. The subnet mask should
have contiguous ones in binary. For example, 255.255.255.128
or 255.255.255.192 or 255.255.255.224.
