Minimum room volume
In accordance with EN 378-1 -2017 standard
(Refrigerating systems and heat pumps - Safety and
environmental requirements), the ystem's hydraulic
unit and all refrigeration connections passing through
inhabited areas must comply with the minimum room
volume requirements shown hereafter (voir g. 23) :
The minimum volume of a room (in m3) is calculated
using the formula: " uid ll load” (in kg) / 0.3.
Alternatively, you must ensure that :
- The location has natural ventilation through another
room where the combined volume of the two rooms
is greater than "liquid ll load" (in kg) / 0.3kg/m
3
.
Ventilation between the two rooms is ensured by
openings of at least: see g. 24 and g. 25.
- Or that the location is mechanically ventilated:
• Minimum ow rate of 165m3/H;
• Extraction at less than 0.20m from the oor.
