4) Adjusting transmission power
The output power is adjusted for “HI” and “LOW” by setting each power data. The
power data is set on the registered user channel, ITU channel, and free-direct key-in
whose frequencies can be arbitrarily selected.

Power data:
The output powers indicated in Table 2.2.4 are not the powers from the antenna coupler.
These are the power outputs from FS-5000T. The power outputs are measured with a
single tone input of 4 MHz J3E and a load of 50Ω.

Setting procedure:
1. Set a frequency of which output power is adjusted.
2. Press [TUNE] key to tune the antenna coupler.
3. To adjust “HI” power, press [STO] and [HI] keys in order.
To adjust “LOW” power, press [STO] and [LOW] keys in order.
4. Then, the registered power data appear. To increase the power data, press [HI] key,
and to decrease the power data press [LOW] key.
Check the output power by connecting a 50Ω power meter to Tx ANT terminal of
FS-5000T, or measure PA Vcc and Ic using a check meter and calculate the power:
Pout = PA Vcc×Ic×η (efficiency)
