Checking interferences from the MF/HF transceiver to the other equipment
Any noise shall not mix in the handset or speaker of the VHF transceiver
during transmission. Any abnormal display shall not appear.
The displays and values on the radar screen shall not vary during
transmission.
Any noise shall not mix in the speaker of the ship control apparatus during
transmission. Any abnormal display shall not appear.
The displays and performance of the equipment installed on the bridge deck
such as speed log, bathymeter, steering engine, or navigation device shall
not operate abnormally in response to the transmitting voice sound or
signals.
Checking noise
The transmitting sound or signals shall not mix in the handset speaker of the
transmitter.
The transmitting sound or signals shall not mix in the speaker on the battery
control panel
Any noise shall not mix in the buzzer of IC-302/303 in response to the
transmitting sound or signals.
Set the BATT CHARGER switch to MANUAL position and check:
–Any noise shall not mix in the speaker of the MF/HF transceiver during
battery charging.
Any noise in synchronization with the period of NMEA data transmission shall
not mix in the MF/HF transceiver.
Operate transmission with VHF transceiver:
–Any noise shall not mix in the speaker of the MF/HF transceiver during the
transmission.
Operate radar transmission:
–Any noise shall not mix in the speaker of the MF/HF transceiver during the
transmission
