• The following communication environment is recommended to use the remote play-
back function:
• Average baud rate: 80 kbps or higher
• Packet loss rate: Less than 5%
• Average communication delay: Less than 1200 msec
• When you establish a VPN connection from the shore, the network segment on the
shore must be different from the VDR network segment. VDR network segment is
as follows:
• 10.0.0./255.255.255.0: Change the VDR subnet address.
• 172.31../255.255.0.0
• 192.168.31./255.255.255.0: Used only for applicable vessels.
4.3 Recommended Network Construction
The following figure shows the recommended network construction for remote play-
back functions:
