FOREWORD
Introduction
This manual describes the procedures to follow after installing the VR-7000. The outline of the
setup is as below.
Step 1: Network setting on PC and VDR
Step 2: Software setting
Step 3: Backup data setting
Step 4: Software configuration from file data
Step 5: Media management
Step 6: Other functions
After setting up, save a backup copy of the configuration data to both a CompactFlash (CF) and
the PC that has the VDR Maintenance Viewer.

PC with Internet Explorer
®
6.0 or higher
• LAN cable (supplied)

Notes on usage
The Maintenance Viewer of the VR-3000 is not compatible with the VR-7000. Do not use it with
the VR-7000.
Do not do create or initialize a Long Term Device with a USB flash memory connected to the
USB port.
