Adjust strings to approximately half tension before proceeding with other adjustments.
Set #4 string bridge height for 1/8" clearance and graduate remaining sections to neck radius.
File nut to .022" clearance at the first fret for each string if replacing nut or changing gauge.
Adjust truss rod for .018"-.022" underbow with #4 string fretted at #1 and #21 frets.
Adjust bridge plate level to body using a 3/16" spacer as a guide.
Check and file nut string spacing to .018" clearance from the first fret.
Adjust neck tilt for .093" clearance at the 22nd fret and ensure proper seating in socket.
Set bridge heights to achieve .062" clearance at the 22nd fret for #1 string.
Set pickup heights for even response, e.g., .031" for #1 string, .062" for #6 string.
File nut string spacing to .018" clearance from the first fret if changing nut or gauge.
Adjust truss rod for .010"-.012" clearance for #6 string at #8 fret.
Set bridge heights and neck tilt for proper string clearance at the 22nd fret.
Adjust pickup heights for even response, such as .031" for #1 and .062" for #6 string.
