Usage Features

The manual outlines a comprehensive installation and startup procedure:

Battery Charging: The battery must be charged before first use. Two to three initial charging/discharging cycles may be required to achieve maximum run time/capacity. To charge, connect the charger to the top charging hole of the battery. A red indicator signifies charging, and a green indicator signifies charging completion.

Assembly Steps:

  1. Mower Shield and Anti-collision Wire Installation: The shield should be installed facing the operator during use. Align its four-angle buckle with the cutter head slot, press down, and rotate until it locks. The anti-collision wire is then pushed into holes on both sides of the cutter head, ensuring its bottom contacts the ground. Incorrect installation (shield mounted in the opposite direction or anti-collision wire not contacting the ground) is highlighted as a potential issue.
  2. Blade Base and Blade Installation: Align the opposite-side nut slot of the blade base to the mower motor or screw shaft, ensuring the cutter head nuts remain in their original position. Install the blade in the front blade slot of the base, making sure the cutter head screw exposes 1/3 inch. Install the blade locknut with the pattern facing downward, then tighten it clockwise with a wrench. Incorrect installation (removing cutter head nuts, reversely installing blade base, or reversely installing blade locknut) is shown as a common mistake.
  3. Middle Connecting Rod Installation: Align arrow marks on both ends of the connecting rod and insert it. Align the plug at one end with the slot at the other. Ensure upper and lower rivet holes are inserted in a straight line. Tighten the lock sleeve of the rod in the locking direction.
  4. Auxiliary Handle Installation: Adjust the handle's position according to height. Open the rubber shock absorption sleeve of the handle. Install the lower base of the auxiliary handle, pulling the upper and lower bases onto the rubber shock absorption cover to align screw holes. Insert screws into the four holes, hold the bases, and tighten screws with a hexagon wrench.
  5. Battery Installation: Hold the clips on both sides of the battery and align the battery slot buckle, then push hard until a click is heard, indicating successful installation. To remove, hold the buckles on both sides and pull the battery out.

Startup Test: The starting handle includes a red round self-lock knob (fuse button) and a red long-shaped start trigger. To start, press the fuse button before pulling the trigger. After startup, release the fuse button and press the long-shaped start trigger to maintain operation. Release the trigger to stop.

Safety Warnings:

  • Always read the manual before use.
  • Wear appropriate personal hearing protection, safety glasses with side shields or goggles, face/dust mask, rubber gloves, and substantial footwear (long pants).
  • Keep children, visitors, and pets away from the work area.
  • Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry.
  • Do not overreach; maintain proper footing and balance.
  • Do not use the trimmer with any type of accessory or attachment not specified by the manufacturer.
  • Avoid dangerous environments (rain, damp/wet locations, gaseous/explosive atmospheres).
  • Ensure the switch trigger is in the locked or off position before inserting the battery pack.
  • Keep hands away from the blade when power is on.
  • Do not use the tool if the switch trigger does not turn on or off.
  • Do not dispose of batteries in a fire; they may explode.
  • Do not open or mutilate batteries; released electrolyte is corrosive and toxic.
  • Exercise care when handling batteries to avoid shorting with conductive materials.
  • Do not attempt to remove cut material or hold material to be cut when blades are moving. Ensure the trimmer switch is off when clearing jammed material.
  • Be aware that lines coast after being turned off.
  • Do not force the grass trimmer.
  • Stay alert; do not operate when tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or medication.
  • Store idle grass trimmer indoors in a dry, high, or locked-up place, out of reach of children.
  • Use only identical manufacturer's replacement parts.
  • Use only the manufacturer's replacement blade in the cutting head. Do not use metal wire, rope, or other cutting attachments.

Maintenance Features

  • Cleaning: Ensure the battery is detached from the unit. Use only mild soap and a damp cloth to clean the tool. Do not let any liquid get inside the tool or immerse any part of the tool in liquid.
  • Storage: Do not store the tool on or adjacent to fertilizers or chemicals, as they can accelerate metal corrosion.
  • Inspection: If the trimmer is dropped, inspect it carefully for damage (bent/cracked guard, broken handles, etc.). Any condition affecting operation must be repaired before further use.
  • Parts Replacement: Repairs, maintenance, and adjustments should be performed by a qualified individual using only identical replacement parts to ensure product safety and reliability.

Troubleshooting

The manual includes a troubleshooting guide for common issues:

  • Unit does not Run:
    • Possible Cause: Battery not making contact, trigger switch not operational, battery not installed properly, battery not charged.
    • Possible Solution: Check battery is fully inserted, ensure lock-off button is fully depressed before moving trigger, check battery installation, check battery charging requirements.
  • Battery will not charge:
    • Possible Cause: Battery not inserted into charger, charger not plugged in, surrounding air temperature too hot or too cold.
    • Possible Solution: Insert battery into charger until red LED appears, plug charger into a working outlet, check current at receptacle (e.g., with a lamp), check if receptacle is connected to a light switch that turns power off, move charger and tool to a surrounding air temperature of about 39°F (4°C) to 104°F (40°C).
