Adding or replacing memory modules
Tools you need to complete this task:
The M675 notebook uses memory modules called SO-DIMMs (Small Outline Dual Inline
Memory Modules). The modules are available in various capacities and any module can
be placed in the memory bay.
To add or replace memory modules:
1 Follow the instructions under “Preventing static electricity discharge” on page 5.
2 Disconnect the AC adapter and modem and network cables, then prepare the
notebook by following the instructions in “Preparing the notebook” on page 6.
3 Turn the notebook over so the bottom is facing up.
4 Remove the battery by following the instructions in “Removing the battery” on
page 7.
Important Use only memory modules designed for the Gateway M675.
