Why can’t I print after the mini-docking station is disconnected from
my system?
1. Click Start, and
Settings.
2. Right click on the Printer icon for your printer.
3. Make sure that Set as Default is selected. If Work Offline is selected, click
on it to deselect it.
Why is there a yellow circle with an exclamation point over my
Hard Disk/CD-ROM Controller in the Device Manager tab?
1. Click on the Performance tab.
2. Make sure File System, Virtual Memory, and PCMCIA all display 32-Bit.
3. See if there is a message explaining a conflict. If this occurs, you may
have to remove the Real-Mode Drivers from the AUTOEXEC.BAT or
CONFIG.SYS files.
Note: If there is a message stating that the boot sector has been altered, you
may have a virus.
I accidentally deleted a file, can I get it back? Maybe...
1. Double-click on the Recycle Bin icon.
2. Highlight the file you deleted by clicking on it.
3. Click
Edit and Undo Delete and the file will be retrieved.
If the file was deleted from File Manager or at a DOS prompt, the file is gone.
Why is the mouse erratic and hard to control?
1. Click on Start,
S ettings, Control Panel, and double click on the Mouse
icon.
2. Click on the Motion tab and adjust Pointer
speed.
3. Click on the Touch Pad tab and adjust the Touch Threshold.
Note: Make sure that your fingers are free from excess moisture, which can
cause erratic mouse behavior.
