The GBF SentryLink Smart Intercom for Multi-Tenants is a comprehensive IP video intercom system designed for multi-tenant buildings, enabling monitoring and interaction with visitors from anywhere via a mobile device with Wi-Fi or data connection. This system leverages GBF's expertise in multi-security camera monitoring through smart handheld devices.
The core function of the GBF SentryLink Smart Intercom is to provide secure and convenient access control and communication for multi-tenant buildings. It allows tenants to monitor their door, interact with visitors, and grant access remotely. The system integrates an IP Video Door Station with mobile device connectivity, offering a full-featured intercom experience.
Installation begins by selecting an optimal location for the SentryLink Door Station, considering factors like sightlines, shadows, and excessive background lighting for the camera. The recommended mounting height is approximately 60 inches (150 cm) from the surface to the camera lens. Essential connections required at the installation location include a live internet feed (RJ45 plug), mains power or low voltage extension wire, door or gate control wire(s), and optionally, push-to-exit button connection(s).
The installation process involves feeding power supply wiring, wiring harness(s), and the internet cable through a hole from the back side of the metal back box. The back box is then mounted to the wall using six screws (and anchors, if required). For flush-mount back boxes, it's crucial that the edges are flush with or slightly proud of the surrounding building finish, as the SentryLink Door Station's edges are slightly larger and seal tightly to the back box when cam locks and set screws are engaged.
After mounting the back box, the wiring harness and other connections are connected to the back of the IP Doorbell. The device is then gently locked into the back box using the provided cam lock key and secured at the bottom leading edge with two Hex-Head screws and an Allen key.
The GBF SentryLink Smart Intercom is designed for ease of installation and configuration, providing robust security and communication capabilities for multi-tenant environments. Careful adherence to the installation instructions and proper management of settings, especially passwords, are crucial for optimal performance and security.
