In the ÄKTA ready System Control
module, on the System menu, click
Calibrate. Select Cond_Cal on the
Monitor menu.

Read the conductivity value displayed
under Measured value and compare
it with the theoretical value from the
graph opposite at the temperature
of the calibration solution.
•
If the displayed value and the
theoretical value correspond, no
further action is required.
•
If the values differ, proceed with
step 7.

Enter the theoretical conductivity
value according to the graph in the
Reference value 1 field.

Click Read value 1. The new cell constant is automatically calculated and
updated.

Testing the temperature sensor
The accuracy of the temperature sensor can be checked using a Temp test tool (Sec-
tion 14.4 Ordering information, on page 210). Temperature testing is normally done once
a year, during preventive maintenance.
