CONFIG, REMOTE
CAUTION: C
HANGING BETWEEN SETS OF LIMITS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO SENSITIVE INSTRUMENTS.
ENTERING CONFIG DISABLES LOCK OUT THERE ARE TWO SETS OF LIMITS: "REMOTE"
AND "LOCAL".
This function disables the front panel key-pad and allows the ADTS 405 to be
controlled by a remote device such as a PC. The front panel display shows the
"REMOTE" message. To return to "local" control (key-pad) press REMOTE/LOCAL key,
the remote device can disable this key.
Note: Some ATE systems may require the ADTS 405 set in the remote mode before the
remote device starts communicating. If remote lock is disabled, set the ADTS 405
while in local control, by pressing the REMOTE/LOCAL key.
CONFIG, ETP, [AUTO RUN]
Causes a down-loaded test program to operate (Execute Test Program) on power-up.

CONFIG, ETP, [ERASE PROGRAMS]
Removes a down-loaded test program from non-volatile memory. See the Test
Program Manager User Manual for further details.
CONFIG, ETP, [RESULT]
Configures the PRINT/SAVE mode as in set-up mode.
Selects and deletes a result file stored in the ADTS 405.
CONFIG, or (nudge keys)
CONFIG equivalent of SETUP function.
CONFIG, 000
This function enables, changes or disables the CONFIG PIN code protecting access to
CONFIG menu.
When enabled, the PIN must be entered before it can be changed. The prompt asks for
“Enter Existing PIN”, then a new PIN can be entered. This must comprise four numeric
digits.
Once entered, the prompt asks for the new PIN again to protect against data entry errors.
To disable the PIN, so that CONFIG can be entered without a PIN, enter 0000.
Note: Access to maintenance functions may also be PIN protected. This PIN number is not
the same as the CONFIG PIN.
