2. Some methods need values to be entered. Use the
alpha/numeric keypads.
3. A drop down menu can be used for method selection
options.
4. Some methods require input from the DPI 620
instrument channels. A drop down menu displays the
channels as follows:
• CH1
• CH2
• P1
• P2
• IDOS
5. On completion the procedure will return to the HART®
application. If required use the Abort button.
6.12.1 Method Example - Self-test
1. To confirm that the transmitter is functioning
correctly, navigate to the Test device folder.
2. Select the Test device folder.
3. Select OK.
The self-test executes.
