waterofthepropertemperature,
yourdishwasherautomatically
heatsthewaterinthewashcycle.
Forgoodwashinganddrying,the
enteringwatermustbeatleast
120°F.Topreventdishdamage,
inletwatershouldnotexceed15001?.
How
to test water temperature:
Checkthewatertemperature
insideyourdishwasherwitha
candyormeatthermometer.
Letthedishwasherrunthroughone
fillandpumpoutcycle,thenlet
thedishwasherfillwithwaterthe
secondtime.
Whenyouhearthewaterstop
filling,unlatchthedoorandslowly
openit.
Measurethetemperatureof the
waterin thebottomofthetubthis
way:
Removethesilverwarebasketand
placea candyor meatthermometer
in thewatertowardsthemiddleof
thetub.If thetemperatureis less
than120°F,youwillnotgetgood
washingresults.Higherwater
temperatureis neededtodissolve
greaseand activatepowder
detergents.
Helpfulhints: If outside
temperaturesareunusuallylow,or if
yourwatertravelsa longdistance
fromwaterheaterto dishwasher,
youmayneedto setyourwater
heater’sthermostatup.Ifyouhave
notusedhotwaterfor sometime,
thewaterin thepipeswillbecold.
Turnon thehotwaterfaucetatthe
sinkandallowit torun untilthe

waterishot.Thenstartthe
dishwasher.Ifyou’verecentlydone
laundryorrunhotwaterfor
showers,giveyourwaterheater
timetorecoverbeforeoperatingthe
dishwasher.
Toimprovewashabilityif the
waterislessthan120°Fandyou
cannotadjustyourwaterheater:
Selectalongercycleandfillboth
detergentcupsatleasthalf-full
withdetergent.

A rinseagentmakeswaterflowoff
dishesquickerthanusual.This
lessenswaterspottingandmakes
dryingfaster,too.
Forbestdishwashingperformance,
useof a rinseagentsuchasJET-
DRYbrandisrecommended.
Rinseagentscomein eitherliquid
or solidform.Yourdishwasher
usestheliquidform.

Unscrewthecap.Add
theliquidrinseagentuntilitjust
reachesthebottomofthelipinside
thedispenseropening.Replacethe
cap.Thedispenserautomatically
releasestherinseagentintothe
finalrinsewater.

Don’tleavethespillin the

content.
Phosphatehelpsprevent
hard-watermaterialsfromforming
spotsorfilmonyourdishes.If

more),yourdetergenthasto work
harder.Detergentswithahigher
phosphatelevelwillprobablywork
better.If thephosphatecontentis
low(8.7fZoorless),you’llhaveto
useextradetergentwithhardwater.
