•
Profile
: Select a User Profile to define parameters for heart
rate and variability for the categories you want to set up.
•

category
table
Create heart rate and variation categories.
3
Threshold
area Define
Variable Beat to Beat Threshold
,
Irregular Threshold
and
Highly Irregular Threshold
.
These thresholds define how Auto Gating will categorize the pa‐
tients HR (based on breath hold recording).
•
Variable Beat to Beat Threshold
: Max beat to beat variability
before the
HR Rhythm
is classified as “Variable”.
•
Irregular Threshold
: Max number of irregular beats before
the
HR Rhythm
is classified as “Irregular”.
•
Highly Irregular Threshold
: Max number of irregular beats
before the
HR Rhythm
is classified as “Highly Irregular”.

Scan Settings
area Define scan parameters for Cardiac scans.
See
Cardiac Scan Parameters
.
5 [Save] Saves parameter changes.
6 [Exit] Closes the window.
Scan Settings
The title bar of the
Scan Settings
area is updated with the exact boundaries selected in the
Average Heart Rate (BPM) / Heart Rate Rhythm
category table.
Table 2: Cardiac Axial Parameters
Name
Description
Slowest Allowable Rotation Speed
Slowest gantry speed that would be suggested if prescribed Noise Index cannot be
achieved by SmartmA.
Acquisition Part 1
Acquisition Part 2
Acquisition Part 3
Defines the phases of the cardiac cycle that will be acquire during the scan, and the
relative mA (%) that will be applied for each part of the cardiac cycle.
Acquisition Parts can be defined in R-R % or ms offset from prior R-peak.
Widen for SSF
Enabling this feature directs the system to acquire data so a SSF image may be gen‐
erated at the specified cardiac phases or times.
For background information about R-wave, R-wave to R-wave, and % phase, see the
Cardiac Phase Background
section.
HR Variation Type
HR Variation Amount
Inputs to calculate
HR Variation Amount
in BPM.
HR Variation Type
: Select
Scale Factor
or
Absolute Value
.
HR Variation Amount
: Values are applied as scale factor if
Scale Factor
is selected
or as absolute values in BPM if
Absolute Value
is selected.
HR Variation Allowance defines the additional X-ray on interval that will be applied to
the scan to accommodate a possible discrepancy between the predicted heart rate
and the actual heart rate when the system is acquiring data.
