5 Auto Gating Configuration
5.1 Auto Gating workflow
Use this workflow to setup a cardiac protocol which uses Auto Gating. Cardiac protocols can be
built using GE provided profiles or user profiles.
1.
Set up a user profile or choose a GE provided profile using the Auto Gating Configuration
tool.
2. Build a cardiac protocol using the Auto Gating Configuration tool.
5.2 Set up a User Profile
5.2.1 Open Auto Gating Configuration

From the image monitor, click .
2.
Click
Protocol Management
, then click
Auto Gating Configuration
.
The
Auto Gating Configuration
window displays heart rate ranges and scan settings for each
range. These heart rate ranges and scan settings can be edited for the selected user profile.
3.
Select a user profile from the
Profile
drop-down menu.

There are 9 GE profiles provided by the system that cannot be edited:
GE CCTA
,
GE
XXL
,
GE Low Dose CCTA
,
GE Gen CardioVasc
,
GE CV w CCTA Group
,
GE CACS
,
GE
Stress Perf Compare
,
GE CCTA with Function
and
GE Pediatric
.

User profiles can be edited and renamed. The initial configuration of a new user profile is
the same as the GE Adult Coronary (GE CCTA) profile.
4. In the
Profile Name
field, type a profile name.
NOTE: All new user profiles are initially named
Unnamed Profile #
until renamed.
5. Click [Rename].
NOTE: User profiles will not display in the Auto Gating setting during a scan unless
renamed.
5.2.2 Set up the HR configuration
1. Define the
Average Heart Rate (BPM)
and
HR Rhythm
categories in the table.
○
To change the range of HR values, click an HR box ( ) and edit the value. The
value in the box needs to be greater than the previous cell and less than the next cell.
○
To expand the range of HR values, edit the last few HR values to 199, 198 and 197;
then edit the other columns.
○
As a category is selected in the
Average Heart Rate (BPM)
and
HR Rhythm
table, the
corresponding table cells will be highlighted.
2. Define the
ECG Gated
scan settings.
Whenever the setting cannot be edited, it is marked as
