Chapter 9: Troubleshooting
NDIR
Use the NDIR screen to test NDIR temperatures to help facilitate troubleshooting.
To test NDIR temperatures
1. On the Diagnostics screen, press the NDIR button to display the NDIR screen with the current source
and detector temperatures (Figure 97
).

2. Compare the temperatures appearing on the screen with the following criteria:
• The Source Temperature is maintained at 65
o
C + 2
o
C.
• The Detector Temperature is maintained at 55
o
C + 2
o
C.
Heater
The heater test is an examination of the overall reactor heater thermal control system.
To test the heater temperatures
1. On the Diagnostics screen, press the Heater button to display the Heater screen. The Heater button is
automatically set to Off (gray color) to indicate that the heater is Off. The reactor fan is On.
2. To start the test, press the Heater button (Figure 98
). The button turns orange, the heater powers on,
and the system begins going through its programmed heating and cooling profile.
