If the machine becomes mired in muddy ground and must
be towed out, or when it is necessary for the machine to
tow a heavy object, attach the sling belt as illustrated at the
right.
IMPORTANT
Check to see that the wire ropes, sling belts, and
shackles to be used are of sufficient strength and are
free from cracks and damage.
17-2. Towing
Always safely tow a disabled machine by using the
proper equipment and procedures.
The use of incorrect methods or improper proce-
dures could result in bodily injury.
Follow the recommendations below to properly
perform the towing procedure.
