25-4-1.
Greasing the swing gear and the swing bearing
1) Grease the swing gear and bearing through the grease
nipples indicated by arrows in the figure at the right, us-
ing a grease gun.
2) Swing the upper structure in small increments and
grease after each stop, until the upper structure has
made a full revolution.
25-4-2. Draining the water and deposits in the fuel tank
Things to prepare
• Container for fuel waste
1) Open the engine hood (1).
2) Remove the side cover R (2).
3) Loosen the hose clamp (4), remove the drain hose (3)
and put the end of the hose outside of the upper structure
frame. Place the container for fuel waste under the hose.
4) Move the hose clip (5) using pliers, remove the flat head
pin (P), and drain the water and dirt deposits with the
fuel in the fuel tank.
Take care that the fuel does not contact your body.
5) When clean fuel starts coming out, securely reinstall the
flat head pin (P) and move the hose clip (5) back to its
original position. Then, put the drain hose (3) back into
place and secure it with the hose clamp (4).
6) Reinstall the side cover R (2).
7) Close the engine hood (1).
25-4. Maintenance every 50 service hours
Do not swing the upper structure while greasing.
Swing the upper structure after each stage of greas-
ing is completed to avoid serious bodily injury.
Keep sparks, flames and lit cigarettes away.
