Also perform the maintenance every 50, 100, and 250 service hours.
25-9-1. Replacing the return filter in the hydraulic oil tank

Things to prepare
• Container for waste oil: Capacity of 0.66 Gals. (2.5 L) or
more
1) Open the engine hood.
2) Remove the side cover L (1).
3) Place the container for waste oil under the return filter
(2).
4) Remove the return filter (2) using the filter wrench.
25-9. Maintenance every 500 service hours
• The hydraulic oil and the tank are hot and under
pressure immediately after the engine stops, and
can cause bodily injury.
Be sure to replace the filter only after the hydrau-
lic oil tank has cooled enough to permit touching
the tank surface with your bare hand.
• If the flange on the tank is removed too quickly,
the flange may pop out due to the spring force
applied to the filter. Also, the hydraulic oil may
spout out if the pressure inside the tank has not
been gradually relieved.
• Slowly loosen the four bolts diagonally to re-
move the flange.
