Glossary of Abbreviations
CPB- Central Processor Board
CPU- Central Processing Unit
DSB Module- Hardware Interface Module (HIM) for a connection via the Doms
Serial Bus port
DSB port- Port with Doms Serial Bus hardware interface. DSB ports are
numbered 11,12,13,14,15 on the CPB board
DMB Port- Port with Doms Multiplex Bus hardware interface. The DMB ports
are numbered 21 to 23 on the CPB board. The port can also be used as a DSB Port
by using a special DSMB cable
DMB Module- DOMS Multiplex Hardware Interface Module
Gilbarco PAM 5000- The latest interface system that replaces the PAM 1000
HIM- Hardware Interface Module (DSB/DMB)
LAN- Local Area Network
PAM- Pump Access Module
PORT- A physical serial communication port for connection to hardware
modules
POS- Point of Sale
PSU- Power Supply Unit
Service Port- A communication port for connection of a service PC or laptop via
an RS-232 connection via null-modem cable wiring
WAN- Wide Area Network
