Notational Conventions
Notational Conventions
The conventions in this User’s Guide are as follows.
Used in the stand-alone mode, this instrument is
referred to as ‘402 Dilutor-Dispenser’ or simply 402.
Specific keys to press on the Gilson Keypad are
represented in bold capitals, for example: ‘key in
the value and press ENTER’; where ENTER is a
key on the keypad.
For a soft-key that must be pressed, the function of
that key is represented in bold, for example: ‘Press
Prime to prime the pump’.
The Gilson Keypad displays on-screen messages as
normal typeface inside a frame.
