Function Description

The Gimify Towel Warmer is primarily used for heating and sterilizing towels. Depending on the model, it offers functions such as UV light sterilizing, ozone sterilizing, and heating. The device is intended for use with moist towels only; operating it with dry towels can cause serious damage and void the warranty.

The upgraded version of the hot towel warmer features an aluminum alloy inner chamber for better heat conduction, with a maximum temperature reaching 248°F.

Usage Features

The towel warmer is designed for straightforward operation.

  1. Preparation: Towels should be run briefly under water and then wrung out multiple times until they are damp, not soaked.
  2. Loading: Fold or roll towels and place them in the metal basket. Avoid overloading the basket or placing towels directly into the warmer.
  3. Operation: Insert the basket with towels into the warmer, close the door firmly, and press the power switch to the lock position.
  4. Safety: Users are cautioned that internal surfaces, metal baskets, towels, and steam can become hot. Protective heat-resistant gloves or mitts are recommended when removing hot towels or baskets to prevent burns.

The device includes a UV light bulb for UV and ozone sterilizing. A distinctive smell may be present when the UV light bulb is operating, which is considered normal. For model GJ-16A, the heating indicator may turn off automatically when a high temperature is reached and will turn back on when the temperature drops, which is also normal.

Maintenance Features

Regular cleaning and maintenance are crucial for the device's longevity and proper functioning.

  1. Cool Down: Before handling or cleaning, the unit must be turned off and unplugged, and its contents allowed to cool.
  2. Remove Contents: The metal basket and towels should be removed, and the metal basket set aside to dry.
  3. Internal Cleaning: Internal surfaces should be wiped down with a soft cloth. Harsh chemicals or abrasives should not be used.
  4. Exterior Cleaning: The exterior can be cleaned with a soft cloth and mild soap.
  5. Drip Tray: The water drip tray should be detached from the cabinet's undercarriage and emptied at the end of each day, then set aside to dry.

Troubleshooting:

  • Excessive Moisture/Slow Heating: This often indicates that towels are too soaked. Ensure towels are only slightly damp.
  • Door Not Closing/Steam Escaping: Check that the silicone door seal is properly in place and pushed into the door groove.
  • Abnormal Smell: This could be due to infrequent cleaning of the inner box or not regularly emptying accumulated water from the drain tray.

The manual also notes that due to long-term high temperatures, the stainless steel racks may cause mild discoloration. Any protective film on the device may be scratched during transportation, but this does not affect the machine's appearance or use and can be torn off if necessary.
