Replacement of Parts
Control Thermostat
and Overheat Cutoff
Gain access as Section 10, steps 1 to 5.
Control Thermostat:
Pull off the control thermostat knob,
remove the two screws securing the
thermostat to the control box.
Remove the electrical connections from
the thermostat body.
Overheat Cutoff:
Remove the nut securing the overheat
cutoff, withdraw the assembly.
Control Thermostat/
Overheat Cutoff
Now remove the split pin and then the
thermostat phials from the pocket.
Make sure that the thermostat
capillaries are correctly routed and the
phials are securely fitted into the
pocket.
Note: The position of the two phials
should be as shown when replacing in
the pocket.
Reconnect the electrical leads as
shown.
When replacing either of these
thermostats make sure that the phial is
smeared with the heat sink compound
supplied with the replacement.
