7. Snap chest clip pieces together .
Position chest clip in middle of chest,
level with armpits and away from the
neck ¡.
8. CHECK that both straps are flat and
snug on shoulders and thighs.
9. SAFETY CHECK:
a) MAKE SURE the top of the childs'
head is at least 1" below the top of the
infant restraint.
b) CHECK that harness straps are not
twisted.
c) CHECK that the harness is snug.
You should not be able to pinch the
harness if it is snug. A snug strap should
not allow any slack. It lies in a relatively
straight line without sagging. It does not
press on the child’s flesh or push the
child’s body into an unnatural
position.
d) CHECK loose straps are secured
through the hooks as shown.
