WARNING: Important: Read and understand these instructions before installing or using

the Mattress.

If you do not understand any part of these instructions, contact a healthcare

professional for direction in the use of this product. If the Mattress is not properly unpacked

and maintained, personal injury and/or damage to the Mattress could result.

WARNING: If components are damaged or missing, contact your Graham-Field authorized

distributor immediately. DO NOT use substitute parts. Non-Lumex replacement parts could

cause personal injury and damage to the Mattress.

WARNING: Mattress Models LS100-35 and LS100-42 have a maximum weight capacity of

350 lb (158.8 kg), EVENLY DISTRIBUTED.

WARNING: Mattress Models LS150-35, LS150-42, LS150-35P and LS150-42P have a

maximum weight capacity of 400 lb (181.4 kg), EVENLY DISTRIBUTED.

UNPACKING INSTRUCTIONS

1. Check for any obvious damage to the carton or its contents. If damage is evident, DO NOT USE.

Contact carrier / distributor for further instruction.

2. Open end of box.

3. Slide contents out of box.

4. Mattress is delivered with cover slightly unzipped. After mattress starts to recover, readjust the

cover, as it may have shifted during packaging. Rezip cover.

5. Mattress can be used immediately, but it may take 72 hours for the foam to fully recover.

Environmental factors, such as cooler temperatures, may cause expansion to take longer.

Mattress will expand to ± one in. stated dimensions.

Maintenance Features:

Regular Cleaning: Mattresses MUST be cleaned regularly and after each use.
Infection Control: Cleaning with the patient on the bed is not recommended due to the risk of infectious exposure. All visibly soiled equipment should be properly cleaned or removed. Staff should treat soiled bedding as contaminated and wear appropriate protective clothing when cleaning.
Cleaning Solutions:
- Only use standard cleaning solutions diluted per manufacturer's instructions to avoid fabric breakdown and loss of fluid resistance.
- Approved solutions include: Quaternary Wipe Down, Phenolic Wipe Down, and 8%-10% Bleach/Water Wipe down.
- All cleaning solutions must be properly diluted according to the manufacturers' instructions.
- Follow standard institutional wipe down and infection control procedures.
Routine Care Steps:
1. While unoccupied, remove bedding.
2. Wipe top and bottom covers clean with neutral soap suds and warm water, or one of the approved standard cleaning solutions.
3. Rinse covers with clean water and allow to air dry.
Hard-to-Clean Areas: Use a damp sponge and clean as described in Routine Care.
Disinfection: Germicides and disinfectants should be diluted as specified on the product label. An 8%-10% Bleach/Water solution can also be used to wipe down the mattress cover and allowed to air dry.
Cover Handling:
- DO NOT open the mattress cover during cleaning, infection control procedures, or use.
- DO NOT autoclave or launder the mattress cover.
- DO NOT use harsh solvents, cleaners, or detergents to clean the mattress cover.
Unpacking:
1. Check for obvious damage to the carton or contents; if damaged, DO NOT USE and contact the carrier/distributor.
2. Open the end of the box and slide contents out.
3. The mattress is delivered with the cover slightly unzipped. After the mattress begins to recover, readjust the cover if it has shifted during packaging, then rezip.

Warranty Information:

Limited Warranty: GF Health Products, Inc. warrants to the Original Purchaser that it will replace or repair components defective in material or workmanship under normal use and service.
Warranty Period:
- Mattress: Sixty (60) months.
- Cover: Twelve (12) months.
- The warranty period begins from the date of shipment to the original customer, unless a component has an earlier expiration date.
Exclusions: The warranty does not cover defects or damage caused by misuse, abuse, negligence, alteration, accident, freight damage, tampering, or failure to seek timely repair. It also excludes products not installed, used, or maintained as required, non-durable components (casters, filters, fuses, etc.), accessories not provided by GF, unauthorized repairs, labor/shipping charges for replacement parts, regular maintenance/cleaning costs, and representations made by third parties.
Obtaining Service: Report defects to the Distributor from whom the product was purchased within the warranty period. If no Distributor, contact GF directly via phone (1.770.368.4700), fax (1.770.368.2386), or email (cs@grahamfield.com). Failure to follow specific directions may result in denial of the warranty claim.
