DP0 disk numbering
In Storage Utility, RAID disks are numbered with a hexadecimal convention. Disk modules are
identied based on the chassis address and physical location. When Expansion chassis are all
connected to DP0, disks are numbered as follows:

DP0/DP1 disk numbering
When Expansion chassis are connected to DP0 and DP1 in an alternating pattern, the disk numbering
is as follows. With this pattern, the rst Expansion chassis connected to DP1 always has a chassis
address of 8, regardless of how many Expansion chassis are connected to DP0:
