User Manual
Use Bitmap - using the “Edit Bitmap function in this menu, you can set up text or an icon to
be displayed on the mnemonic displays on a crosspoint by crosspoint basis.
In the “Crosspoint Mapping main menu, select a crosspoint row in the table and then touch
the {Edit Bitmap...} menu link button and the Crosspoint Bitmap menu is displayed.
A bitmap can be selected from a Preset shapes library, an icon library, User library from shapes
or text created by the user, from a Store minipic or from text entered from an on-screen
keyboard.
Which ever method you use, the gray grid area in the menu will display a monochrome image,
which is previewed top right of the menu.
To useGrab from Store, touch the bottom attacher where “Store is the first parameter, then
use the “Store parameter to scroll through the Stores. As you scroll through the stores, a
minipic is displayed above the “Grab from Store button. When you reach the required store,
touch the “Grab from Store button. The store minipic is displayed in the bitmap grid.
The above method is used for Icons, User and Preset Libraries. To apply the selected bitmap to
a crosspoint mnemonic, touch the {Apply Changes} button.
Quick Text - Entering text into the bitmap grid can take a little time to get the text into the
correct position with the right font size. The “Quick Text” menu allows you to quickly place text
into the gray bitmap square and whilst typing, the text automatically size itself within the
boundaries of the bitmap grid.
Touch the {Quick Text} button and the “Quick Text menu will be displayed. Turn the “Auto
Font Size” parameter toOn and then start typing the text with the on-screen keyboard.
As more text characters are added the font will auto size itself the size of the quick text box
grid. Text can also be aligned more accurately using the “Alignment” buttons.
After finishing entering the text, touch the {Apply} button.
{Name '???' & Next} - this button is a quick short cut. It puts '???' into the current Source Name
and then jumps on to the next Source in the list, forcing the switcher to take the Name from
the Source itself. This helps to make naming all sources quicker.
{Show Crosspoints} - this button when pressed will go Green. This will cause the mnemonic
display on the control panel to change and show the crosspoints in their “unnamed” form, i.e.
XPT1, XPT2, XPT3 etc. Press again to go back to the user specific crosspoint setup.
