The Grundig HS 5523 Hot Air Hairstyler is a versatile styling tool designed for domestic use, offering a range of features to help you achieve your desired hairstyle. This professional hair styler is equipped with detachable heated brushes, allowing for various styling options and ease of use.

Function Description:

The primary function of the HS 5523 is to dry and style hair simultaneously using a flow of hot air. It features a control switch (C) that allows you to turn the device on and off, as well as select between two temperature and blower settings.

Setting 0: Turns the appliance off.
Setting 1: Provides a gentle air flow and moderate temperature, ideal for gently drying and styling your hair.
Setting 2: Delivers a strong air current and high temperature, suitable for quick drying and more intensive styling.

For enhanced styling and to set your hairstyle more lastingly, the device includes a "Cool Shot" button (G). When pressed and held, this feature interrupts the heating and provides a cool air flow, helping to fix your hairstyle in place.

The HS 5523 comes with three different sizes of hot air brushes (A), each designed for specific styling needs:

Hot air brush medium (1): Ø 25 mm, suitable for creating smaller curls or adding volume to shorter hair.
Hot air brush large (2): Ø 38 mm, ideal for larger curls, waves, or adding significant volume.
Hot air brush extra large (3): Ø 50 mm, perfect for achieving loose waves, straightening, or adding maximum volume to longer hair.

The brushes are ceramic-tourmaline coated, which helps to distribute heat evenly and reduce static, contributing to a smoother, shinier finish. The device is powered via a mains cable (D) with an eyelet, allowing for convenient storage by hanging the appliance. An air inlet grille (E) ensures proper air circulation during operation.

Usage Features:

Before using the HS 5523, ensure your hair is thoroughly towel-dried after washing.

Connecting to Power: Plug the mains cord (D) into a wall socket. Always check that the mains voltage on the device's type plate matches your local mains supply.
Attaching Styling Brushes: The styling attachments (A) are detachable. To change an attachment, press the catch (B) located on the back of the device and turn the currently attached hot air brush slightly to the right. To attach a new brush, align the recess on the brush with the catch (B) on the device, then turn it slightly to the left until it clicks securely into place.
Selecting Settings: Turn on the appliance using the control switch (C) and select your desired temperature and blower level (1 or 2) based on your hair type and styling needs.

A metallised brush can become extremely hot during prolonged or intensive use. Adjust usage time to the accessory being used to avoid injury.
Never wind the mains cable around the appliance, as this can cause damage.
