If your RCS has the internal GPS option, there are two ways to synchronize it: by using the
external 1PPS signal, or using the external GPS.
In the image above, if you select GPS Enable ON, you can choose the signal you want to use to
synchronize your RCS:
- AUTO: The RCS tries to synchronize first to the GPS signal. If it does not receive any signal
from the satellites, then it tries to synchronize with the external reference (1PPS).
- GPS Receiver: The RCS tries to synchronize with the internal GPS.
- External: The RCS tries to synchronize with the external 1PPS signal.
The information about the synchronization status is shown at the top right corner of the screen:
From any tab of the application, the user can easily select the desired input from all the enabled
ones. Just by clicking on the corresponding button at the top right of the screen.
1.3.- Channel Plans
1.3.1.- RF Channel Plans
This feature allows to select, delete, export and import RF channel plans, As well as to assign an
alarms profile to each channel (see section 1.5.1.- Alarms Profiles). The RCS allows to choose a
different alarms profile for each channel of the plan.
You can select the channel plan by using the dropdown list placed on the left side of the screen. So
you can see all the channels on the right side. The plan that you choose will be used in all the
features.
You can delete the selected plan or export it to a .CSV file.
GPS: indicates that the RCS is using the GPS
synchronization
EXT: indicates that the RCS is using the external
synchronization (1PPS external)
White icon indicates that the GPS synchronization is locked
Grey icon indicates that GPS is enabled but unlocked
Green icon indicates that the 1PPS synchronization
is locked
Grey icon indicates that 1PPS signal is unlocked
