6. CALIBRATION
The following is the minimum testing required to verify the performance of the 6675A
Resistance Bridge. All tests are to run for a minimum of 1 hour. If the unit under test fails any
test outlined in this section refer to the 6675A Technical Manual to assist in the repair and
alignment of the unit. The procedure for testing low resistance ratios using the Model 6623
Range Extender is covered in the 6623 Technical Manual.
6.1. TEST EQUIPMENT
Test equipment required includes:
 One Guildline model 5010 Fluid Bath or Guildline model 9730
series Oil Bath
 Two Guildline model 9330 / 1 Standard Resistors
 One Guildline model 9350/10 k Resistance Transfer Standard
 One Guildline model 9330 /10 k Standard Resistor
 Two Guildline model 9330 / 100M Standard Resistors
6.2. RATIO 1:1 Using Model 9330 / 1 to Model 9330 / 1
Step 1. Set up the 6675A in Normal Ohms measurement mode with the two 1 Standard
Resistors in a temperature controlled oil bath attached to Rs and Rx
Step 2. Set test current = 100 mA
Step 3. Set reversal rate = 60 seconds
Step 4. Start measurement and record ratio = R

Step 5. Interchange resistors and repeat test
Step 6. Record ratio = R

6.3. RATIO 1:1 Using Model 9330 / 10 k to Model 9350 / (10 k Configuration)
Step 1. Set up the 6675A in Normal Ohms measurement mode with the two resistors in a
temperature controlled oil bath. Attach the 10 k Standard Resistor to Rs and the
Resistance Transfer Standard configured as 10 k to Rx
Step 2. Set test current = 1.0 mA
Step 3. Set reversal rate = 60 seconds
Step 4. Start measurement and record ratio = R
